On September 23, 2019, the grand exhibition of the great achievements in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China (PRC) opened at Beijing Exhibition Center. Chronologically, the exhibition comprehensively reviewed the glorious history and demonstrated the important scientific achievements of the People’s Republic of China in the past 70 years from 1949 to 2019. CH Biomedical’s CH-VAD®, the implantable left ventricular assist system was selected for the Exhibition as the only medical device, attracting much attention.
The CH-VAD implantable left ventricular assist system was developed by CH Biomedical independently with whole intellectual property rights. It is a miniaturized fully magnetically levitated VAD. It has provided a therapy that can significantly prolong life and improve the quality of life for patients with advanced heart failure. As a highly sophisticated medical device, VAD represents the scientific and technological level of a country's high-end medical device industry; and the LVAD system based on the full magnetic levitation technology represents the mainstream cutting-edge technology of VAD in the world currently. CH Biomedical focuses on research and development of a miniaturized fully magnetically levitated VAD, has completed its comprehensive system innovation, the device has reached the international leading level in blood compatibility, implant invasion, reliability, and other key performance indicators.
